Goliath-Book Reveiw

Goliath
Scott Westerfeld
Action/Alternate History

This is the final book in the Leviathan trilogy. the setting of all three books is in a alternate WWI, where the allies are the "Darwinists", who use the DNA of creatures to fabricate new ones, while the axis powers are the "Clankers", who create giant battle robots to fight. this book has great descriptions and imagery, along some really good drawings. you really should read the first two books before this. there are two main protagonists, Alek, rightful heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary, but is forced to go on the run after his parents are murdered, and there is Deryn Sharp, a British girl disguised as a boy to join the royal air service. overall I would recommend this book series to most people

Next week I will be reading Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

  1. Okay, just saying, the whole mutant creatures vs giant battle robots thing sounds pretty freaking awesome :D Also, Scott Westerfeld tends to be interesting. I know it's kind of a "girl book," but the psychology behind his "Pretties" series is actually really interesting.
